The Engagement!!

It's been a couple weeks since I've updated this blog, and Jayson has been waiting, and waiting for a new post. So here you go honey.
To start off I just wanted to explain the photos in our first post. When Jayson and I first started dating, out in Phoenix we would go on a date every Thursday after work. We would alternate who would choose what we did. Jayson ended up picking all the typical dates, Mini golf, a movie, get the point? So when it came to my turn to pick the date I had to be creative.
Because I only brought two bags and a carry one, I didn't really have much to look at in my place. I got the Idea to paint my closet mirrors from a group date my cousin put on, we did some finger painting.
So there you have it! I didn't want loss the memories when we left for San Jose' so I took some pictures.
The next picture is just of Jay and I in San Jose' taking a break from knocking. The company we worked for only had shirts in men's size Medium and Large. Needless to say, I got all the Medium shirts. I couldn't wait to change everyday.

Moving on to the meat of this post, our engagement.

Jayson told me he loved me first. I returned the feelings, of course not without pausing for his discomfort. This happened at the beginning of July, I remember because it
was Canada Day.
Things moved quickly after that, but not in a bad way. By the 11th, which was a Friday Jayson had technically proposed. This is how it went down:
We had started knocking doors around 11:00 am, the first thing he said to me was "I was thinking on the drive over, and I decided that I could marry you." Kind of funny I know. We spent the next couple hours making a plan. We though that getting married during his semester break would be the the best. I would move down to Provo, so Jayson could go to BYU. It was actually a lot of fun talking about it.
When we got home I talk to my parents who were driving east across the States to visit my Aunt and Uncle, they were really excited. Jayson didn't talk to his family until the Sunday, he used his conversation to ask them if there was anything about getting married he hadn't thought about. Everything was good, but I think he wasn't very clear with his family as to where he was at with our relationship. They were kind of surprised when they found out we were actually getting married.
The next day we went to the mall and went ring shopping. We went together because Jayson wanted me to pick the ring so he could get the style I wanted. This was also the day we told Preston that we were getting married.
By the end of the week Jayson had the ring. The same day Jayson and I decided, it would be best if we left San Jose' so we could get stared on our life together. For the next week we prepared ourselves for the drive back to Utah.
The Sunday before we left Jayson proposed. On the way to church Preston mentioned that he needed to pick up some chips and salsa for a game night we were having with our friends. He stopped at Longs Drugstore, and we all went in. Jayson took me over to the drink cooler to kiss me, because a couple days before we had gone in to a drugstore to grab a drink and he had a hard time kissing me in front of strangers. He told me that he wanted to try it again when we got back there I got him to close his eyes, but he was still having trouble. He told me that it might be easier if I closed my eyes too, so I did. I stood there with my eyes closed for about 20 seconds, but he wasn't kissing me so I opened my eyes and he was on his knee with the ring out. He asked me if I would marry him and I said of course.
So everything was a go! We were officially engaged and in a couple days we would be heading back to Provo, and on our way to starting our life together.
I stayed in Provo for a week waiting for my parents to come pick me up, they were still getting back from their trip out east. Meanwhile my parents and Dylan had met Jayson's family, because they were in the area. While I was waiting for my parents to get to Provo, Jayson's parents flew the two of us out to Illinois to meet them. We spent three days with them, and we had a really good time. I was so excited to meet my new family and I was happy Jayson was able to see his family, they don't get to see each other very often.
When we got back to Provo, Jayson was able to meet my family a spend a few days with them, before I left back to Canada. Which started a whole new chapter in our life together.

Welcome to our blog! Let me start by showing you around a little. To the left we have a picture of Jayson and I. This is the one we used for our wedding invitation, expect the invitation is in color. Oh and a side note, our photographer was mama 'C' aka my mom. She has done such a good job with all of the photo shoots we've had.
Moving on with the tour, as we direct our attention just below our photo we have our avid blog follower(s) We appreciate your loyalty! For those of you who haven't joined, don't be shy come join our wonderfully wicked world.
Beneath everything on the left side of the blog we have my profile. Thats really all I have to say on that matter. There isn't anything on it so don't feel like it's something you need to check out.
Lastly, at the top of our blog we have our Title and Description. Isn't it beautiful? I chose the colors myself! Well that brings us to the end of our tour. Now that we have that part complete we can finally sit down and have a real visit!

Lets see where to start?
Oh perfect, I would love to share the story of how Jayson and I came to be.
It all began in Phoenix, Az. We had both gone down in May for work. We had decided to try our hand at summer sales, working for a pest control company called Frontline.
We both had our own personal reasons for going down there, and I for one had a very difficult time getting there. I think that alone is proof of our destiny.
The company gave us the hook-up; Luxury apartment, fully furnished, a pool, hot tub, barbecues and a beach volleyball court.
We worked with about 15 other people only one other girl, who I shared an apartment with. All of us lived in the same complex, so we became quite close. Jayson and his roommates are the people who I became quite familiar with. We all hung out together and as the days went by Jayson and I became closer and closer. We had only been in Phoenix for a couple weeks when we started dating.
We had set out some ground rules because of our situation, working with the people we lived with. We tried to keep our relationship off the radar, if for nothing we did it for ourselves. We didn't want it out in the open incase things didn't work out. We promised each other that if it didn't last we wouldn't be awkward or weird about it. Just basic things like that.
I personally felt it made things better, it was fun having a secret ever though I know everyone knew we were dating.
After about a month and a half of being in Phoenix, Jayson was approached by a friend he knew on his mission. Long story short this friend offered us a job in San Jose' doing the same thing, but for a different company, Vanish Pest Control. They were offering us a signing bonus, more commission, and bi- weekly pay cheques. How could we not go? So we did. Jayson, myself and his roommate Preston from school all ended up moving to San Jose'. What an adventure! We became so much closer, spending an excessive amount of time together. We never got sick of each other. Things just kept getting better and better. We were right! Going to San Jose' ending up being the adventure of a life time!
This is where I'll leave you for now, next on the agenda, The Engagement!
Good chatting with you! Thanks for visiting.
Kim & Jayson.
